The Australian Owen Wright makes WSL history with two perfect 10s in one event.
Owen Wright joins surfing legends Kelly Slater and Joel Parkinson as the third surfer in World Surfing League history to record two perfect 10s in one event at the 2015 Fiji Pro in Tavarua, Fiji.
In the final round of the men’s competition, Owen Wright faced off against fellow Australian Julian Wilson. Wright was able to secure his place in World Surfing League history with a perfect 20 on his final run to beat Wilson with a total score of 20.00 to 7.84 and take first.
Despite having a ruptured eardrum, yet another Australian Sally Fitzgibbons was able to battle her way to win first place in the 2015 Fiji Pro Women’s tournament.

Sally Fitzgibbons was able to score a total score of 18.56 in the finals to beat Bianca Buitendag of South Africa by a close 4.16 points over her score of 14.40. This win for Fitzgibbons lands her in third place on this year’s World Surf League Jeep Leaderboard.
The next 2015 Samsung Galaxy Champions Tour event for men’s will be the J-Bay Open on July 8th-July 19th in Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The next women’s event will be the Vans US Open of Surfing on July 27th-August 2nd in Huntington Beach, California.
